so...back to my lost hope mentality with work. never going to get anywhere so just going to stay where I am.

I'm trying to figure out of I can get a weekend away (4 days) in late October...I want to get something nice for my parents for helping us so much with the move. I don't have to book now but I need to brainstorm and do some research. I thought a weekend away somewhere nice would be good...but I haven't been able to find anything that I can afford. I know you can get last minute stuff for like $300 to Mexico or something..I think my parents would like Niagara better but that never goes down in price for a good hotel near the Casino. NO idea what else I can get for them. Maybe dinner and theatre tickets? I think even that would run me up $600+

went back to the vet - blood work should be back tomorrow

I had a hell of a day with my sinuses, got my prescription and boom an hour later i felt like a different person. i hate putting stuff into my body but I think my head would explode (or cause me to hit a brick wall with it a few times to alleviate the pain) if I didn't use it.

hoorah for nasonex!!

came home and hoped to go watch friends play soccer but decided to have dinner and not feel so rushed. there's always next week. and basketball starts again Monday so back to getting my fat ass some exercise. WOO!!

I give up.

Midnight threw up in the dining room yesterday, found it today.

I'm praying it's just because she gorged..she didn't eat for a day by her own will, and she hasn't thrown up in her little room.

Make it stop :( my poor baby

Soooo...midnight is on her new pills which are supposed to be working in full force today. Unfortunately there were 2 that I had to give her that she refused to take and spit out to the point where I couldn't get them in her system. Her stools are still not forming properly and I pray that she's better by Wednesday so I don't need to take her back to the vet for further tests.

On the bright side her temperament is back to normal. I still feel bad having to lock her in the bathroom when I'm not home but it's better this way, for the time being until she's better.

Been doing some soul searching over the last couple of weeks. I don't know if I should start looking for a new job now or wait until the move. I suppose after the move is better but I'm definitely opening my eyes more now.

Not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow - why do 3 day weekends feel longer than taking a week or 2 off?

anyway, ta for now.

So midnight has been at the vet 3 times in the last week - not a happy camper. she's had gas for a few weeks..and i was going take her to the vet when boom, Tuesday she had diarrhea and I rushed her to the emergency clinic. They gave me pills which I've been giving her...the next night i fed her (they told me to wait 24 hours) and she threw up, so I panicked and went back. Initially they wanted $1100 for tests but I brought her home and took her to my regular vet on Thursday AM. He said she just gorged on the food and wasn't dehydrated...kept her for the day and she seemed fine. So here we are Sunday and she's better, but still has this stinky gas. I think I'm going to stop at the vet tomorrow on my way home to talk to him - I don't understand what is giving her the gas and I'm really worried. This month has been rough for money so I'm hoping whatever tests he may want to do aren't going to cost me an arm and a leg. I barely had the money for my deposit payment Friday. Needless to say I feel so sad for her and I'm scared that something is seriously wrong with her and that I might lose her (yes, pessimist at its best).

I am not looking forward to work tomorrow.

Sold my soul to the devil...

so chanukah is early this year and we decided that we're doing a kris kringle instead of gifts for everyone because there's just too many of us, and some of us can't afford it anyway.

i got my mom

the woman who has everything

i don't know what the hell to get her.

---

cuba was good, i'll be posting pics on fbook sometime soon.

the run was fantastic, those pics are already up. i need to revamp the website.

the high holidays were busy, as always.

work is work. i love the guys i'm working with but i'm in a rut again...am I going to get anywhere in life? should I change jobs again? is it worth it? frustrations frustrations.

then there's the fact that anyone and everyone i know is engaged/married already.
yeah.

sigh.

  • May. 15th, 2007 at 7:39 PM

does anyone have any friends in a photography program? I'm looking for someone that can donate a few hours to my fundraiser. All photos would obviously be in their portfolio/used on their website, and i would want to use them for my website for the fundraiser. i don't have the money to pay a photographer to go, so a student would be ideal.
